Schaffer 4160 - the new loader with enormous lifting power

A compact and agile wheeled loader with enormous lifting power: That’s the Schaffer loader 4160. With an operating weight of 3t the tipping load amounts to more than 2 t. The 4160 moves also heaviest stone pallets safe and fast. On narrow construction sites the 4160 is in its element. Manual work is avoided, the productivity rises.

Schaffer engineers put special attention on comfort and simple operation: Steering column and driver's seat are adjustable. The operator enjoys a perfect view on the tool due to the conical lifting arm and the low mast. The lifting height is 2.75 m, measured at the pivoting point of the tool faceplate.

As a standard the loader is equipped with a foldable ROPS roll over bar. The 4160 is also available with a roomy cab, which provides even more comfort. Stability and security are at their best: The original Schaffer axles have a permissible payload of 7 t each. The set up of engine, axles and hydrostatic drive is perfect. That’s the secret behind the high pushing power of the 4160, which is typical for all Schäffer loader. The machine is braked with a multiple-disk brake, which is maintenance free and operates without any wear. Also the articulated pendulum joint is absolutely maintenance-free.

The machine is propelled by a Kubota engine with 45/60 kW/PS. The driving speed is 20 km/h as a standard, optionally up to 30 km/h. A broad program of additional equipments and tools is available. The product range of Schäffer consists of 40 different models of compact yard, wheel and telescopic loader with an operating weight from 1.4 t to 8.8 t.
